Busara launches the aha! moment, new project snapshot publication series

March 28, 2024

Today, Busara launches its new publication series The aha! moment. The aha! moment is a succinct summary of key learnings–aha moments–and their implications for implementers from all of Busara’s research projects.  Each aha! moment provides an overview of learning and actionable implications of the research for various interest groups in accessible language. The two-page summaries speak to the need to make research usable and accessible to those who use it to design programs that tackle development challenges.

“The aha moment presents an opportunity for us to package every project we work on at Busara in a way that it can be easily read and understood by the public,” said Michael Onsando, Busara’s Manager Voice and Impact. “The series will be a publicly available archive of project work that can be searched and sorted by geography and sector, making it easier to showcase the breadth of our learning and formulate future research agendas.”

The launch of The aha! moment series is part of a three-year strategy (2023 – 2026) that emphasizes building Busara’s voice and contribution to knowledge production. “The strategy aims to build our voice by developing our own output formats,” said Mareike Schomerus, Vice President Voice and Impact. “The aha! moment is part of our ambition to consistently share the knowledge that all our research projects produce.”

All issues of The aha! moment will be hosted on the Busara website (busara.global) and disseminated via the Busara social media outlets.
